After the rousing success of our previous event, the BarCamp London team is proud to announce that you can join in the fun at our next unconference on Saturday 23 November 2024.
We’re returning to The London Academy of Excellence, Lilywhite House, 780 High Road, London, N17 0BX.
An unconference is a fun event – where all the sessions are curated by you! Come give a talk about anything you find interesting. Run a workshop on your favourite subject. Learn about the world from a new perspective.
This will be the thirteenth event – part of London’s longest-running unconference season.

Barcamp London XIII is a “participatory unconference”, which means that attendees make the event. There is a semi formal start and a semi formal end, and the middle is up to you. The idea is that everyone who comes takes part in some way: that might be running a session (in any form – a talk, a workshop, a game, etc) or taking photos, blogging, posting to social media, etc.
You can run a session on anything you want. Really, anything! Your session needn’t be technical or formal, and can be in any style you’re comfortable with. We’ve had sessions on all sorts of topics in the past such as mixing mojitos, photography, lifehacking, and making sushi (and plenty of other stuff), right through to advanced discussions on programming, infosec, AI, and web design.
Sessions are 30 minutes long, with a 10 minute break between them.
Tickets must be booked in advance. Arrivals without tickets cannot be admitted. By booking a ticket you are agreeing to our Code of Conduct. These events are popular and tickets “sell out” fast. Get one as soon as you can.

FAQs
What?
At BarCamp, a group of enthusiastic people gather to share their knowledge about technology and anything else they are interested in. They do this by attending presentations or workshops given by other attendees – and giving presentations themselves, of course. A BarCamp session can be as formal or informal as you like. You can go to any session you like, and if you don’t find a session interesting, you can leave and go to another.
Everyone is encouraged to give a session or participate in whatever way they can. When sessions aren’t running, there’s usually other fun stuff happening: games, conversation, food and drink, silliness, and people hacking on projects. Don’t be afraid, there’s lots of good stuff going on at BarCamp.
When?

How?
Tickets will be released soon. This is a 16+ event. Admission is by ticket only, and they must be booked in advance. Tickets are not available at the door.
Is there a Code of Conduct?
Yes. All attendees – including volunteers – are required to abide by our Code of Conduct.
Is it camping in a bar?
No. (The word ‘bar’ is a playful allusion to the programmer slang term, foobar. The event used to involve camping overnight in tech company offices without telling health and safety, but these days it’s a one day event.)
